Today Microsoft posted an new update (IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC update). It is an optional update. I have a MacBook Pro with SigmaTel sound card, and i was stupid enough to install this update. After installation, sound is gone and windows started to say 'no audio output device'. I had to uninstall the updated driver and install SigmaTel driver again (did not want to install whole bootcamp stuff again, so i googled for the driver). So my advise is do not install this update.

  • Does a Windows 10 driver exist for the IDT High Definition Audio Driver? The last one is sp63916, dated, but it's for Windows 8.1. I looked at IDT/Tempo's website, but all of their drivers - actually cab files - state that they are 'Windows 8.1 and later' dated at the latest from.
